Show me & Do it for me — CRMown AI takes you to any feature
Ask the AI Bar (Ctrl+K) "where do I…" or "how do I…" and click ✦ Show me on the answer. CRMown AI opens the right page, highlights the exact button or section with a teal ring, and explains the next click in a sentence or two. It only moves and points — it never clicks, types or saves anything for you.
Steps
- Press Ctrl+K (or click the ✦ AI button in the top bar) and ask a how-to question, e.g. "where do I connect Gmail?" or "how do I import my contacts?".
- On the answer, click ✦ Show me. The AI Bar closes, the page opens, and the control you need is highlighted with a short tip beside it.
- If the answer has several steps, read the tip and click Next → to move to the next highlight.
- When it finishes, the guide bar at the top shows a one-line summary. Type a follow-up question there, or click 👍 / 👎. Click Stop guiding at any time to close it.
- Do it for me: ask to set something up — e.g. "set up a pipeline for a roofing company", "create a booking page for 15-minute intro calls", "add a contact Sam Lee, sam@acme.com" — and click ✦ Do it for me. The editor opens already filled in, with a "Filled in by CRMown AI" banner, and its Save button is highlighted. Review, change anything, then click Save. Close it and nothing happens.
- Do it for me works for five editors: New Booking Page, Add Contact, a new deal (in item pipelines it opens the deal editor; in contact pipelines it opens the contact picker searched for the person), New Pipeline (Start from scratch with AI — the stages are built when you click Create) and Create New Form.
Good to know
- It respects your plan, suites and role: if a feature isn't available to you (e.g. Team Routing needs the Operations suite), it says why and points at Settings > Billing instead of sending you to a page you can't use.
- Only the tab you asked from moves — other open CRMown tabs are left alone.
- Do it for me never saves for you, and the details it fills in are passed to the page inside your browser tab — they never appear in a link or the address bar.
- Admins can turn pre-filling off under Settings > AI Usage > AI Features ("Show me: pre-fill forms"). Show me keeps working; it just points at the + New button instead of opening the editor filled in.
- CRMown AI sees only which page you are on and which highlightable controls are on screen. It never reads your form values or record content for this.
- Each "Show me" walkthrough uses one guide session. Sessions are counted separately from AI tokens: Starter 10 a month, Pro 30 a month, Max unlimited; trials include 5 and demos 1.
Example: A new admin asks "how do I give Jo read-only access?" and clicks Show me. CRMown opens Settings > Account with Roles & Permissions open, explains where read-only roles live, then — after Next — highlights + Invite Member and says to pick that role when inviting Jo.
Troubleshooting
No ✦ Show me button on the AI Bar answer
Show me appears only on how-to answers, only when the guide is switched on for your workspace, and only while you have guide sessions left this month.
Fix: Ask a "where do I / how do I" question. If you have used this month's sessions they reset on the 1st, or upgrade for more.
"That control isn't on screen right now"
The page opened but the highlighted control did not appear within 5 seconds — it may be inside a collapsed section or hidden for your role.
Fix: Click Open the page in the guide bar and look for the section named in the tip, or ask a follow-up question in the guide bar.
Do it for me opened the page but not the editor
Pre-filling is switched off for your workspace, the details did not fit that editor (e.g. an email address that is not valid), or — for deals — no pipeline is open.
Fix: Click the highlighted + New button and fill it in, or ask again with the details spelled out. Admins can re-enable pre-filling under Settings > AI Usage > AI Features.
"You have used this month's guided walkthroughs"
Your plan's guide sessions for this month are used up.
Fix: They reset on the 1st of the month. Max has unlimited sessions.
Plans
Every plan, metered in guide sessions (not AI tokens): Starter 10/month, Pro 30/month, Max unlimited, trial 5, demo 1.
