Meeting Intelligence — Recording, Transcripts & AI Extraction
Open any calendar event's "Start Meeting" action to launch a Meeting Intelligence session: live recording with on-the-fly transcription, then AI extraction of action items, competitors mentioned, objections, buying signals, stakeholders, and a coaching nudge — all logged back to the contact + deal automatically.
Steps
- From Calendar (sidebar > Calendar): open an event and click "Start Meeting" (works for in-person, phone, or video meetings).
- Or start ad-hoc: from a contact detail page click "Start Meeting", or from the dashboard's "Happening Now" card.
- On the meeting page: tap Record. The transcript streams live as you talk; on the right, AI extractions populate as you go (action items, objections, etc.).
- When you end the meeting, review the extracted segments and click "Apply" to push action items into Tasks, log competitors/objections to the contact, and add the recap to the deal timeline.
Good to know
- Pre-brief: open the meeting page before the meeting to see an AI-generated brief — recent emails, deal stage, last meeting recap.
- Transcript + extractions are stored on the meeting record; you can revisit them later from the contact's Activity timeline.
- Meeting Intelligence is part of CRMown's core — no extra suite required.
- Multilingual: meeting transcription is pinned to your org primary language (Settings > Account > Organization) — no more mid-meeting flip-flops on quiet stretches. Set the org primary language to Spanish and your Spanish meetings transcribe accurately end-to-end.
- The post-meeting summary, action items, and follow-up email draft are generated in Org.primaryLanguage. Verbatim quotes in the "Key Quotes" panel are kept in the spoken-language original so you can audit them against the recording.
- Live in-meeting extraction cards (competitors, objections, buying signals) currently emit values in English regardless of meeting language; the post-meeting summary re-renders them in the org language.
Example: Discovery call with a prospect at "Trellis Robotics". Mid-call the AI extraction surfaces "competitor: Salesforce mentioned 3 times" and "objection: pricing seems high vs. their incumbent" in the right panel. After the call she clicks Apply — three tasks land in her queue (send Salesforce comparison, schedule pricing call with their CFO, follow up on the pilot offer), the competitor + objection get tagged on the contact, and the deal gets a recap with timestamps.
