Invoicing & Payments
Create and send professional invoices, track payments, and manage expenses.
Steps
- Go to Finance from the sidebar (requires Finance suite).
- Click "+ New Invoice" to create an invoice.
- Select a contact, add line items, set due date.
- Send the invoice via email — clients can pay online.
- Track payment status in the invoices list.
Good to know
- Connect Stripe for automatic payment collection.
- Recurring invoices can be set up for subscription clients.
- QuickBooks and Xero integrations sync invoices bidirectionally.
Example: On the 1st of each month an agency runs invoicing for its 22 retainer clients. CRMown auto-generates the invoices from a recurring template, sends each with a "Pay Now" Stripe link, and the AR aging report turns from a Friday-afternoon spreadsheet exercise into a 3-minute review of who hasn't paid.
Troubleshooting
Invoice not generating PDF
PDF generation requires the Finance suite to be active and the invoice must have at least one line item.
Fix: Verify the Finance suite is active in Settings > Billing > Suite Add-ons. Add at least one line item to the invoice.
Plans
Finance suite required. Included in Max. Starter/Pro require the suite add-on.
