F8 — AI SDR Agent

Autonomous Sales Development Rep that runs daily at 8am: prospect → enrich → score → sequence → digest. Targets your F1 ICP (or custom Apollo filters), enriches new leads via the Hunter→Apollo waterfall, scores them, auto-enrolls qualifying contacts in an outbound sequence, then emails you a digest of what it did. Full autopilot.

Steps

  1. Go to Tools > Lead Generation > AI SDR (or /dashboard/leadgen/ai-sdr).
  2. Configure the SDR (one per org): target ICP or custom Apollo filters, daily prospect cap (default 10), value proposition, tone (professional / casual / direct), guardrails (excluded domains, excluded titles, max emails/day).
  3. Optional: link an existing OutboundSequence. If you don't, the SDR auto-generates one on first run from your value prop.
  4. Optional: set a booking page slug for the CTA in generated emails.
  5. Watch the Runs panel — each cycle shows what was prospected, enriched, scored, enrolled, and queued for review.
  6. The 8am digest emails the SDR creator (you) with a 1-line Haiku-generated summary of yesterday's cycle.

Good to know

  • F8 wraps F1 + F2 + F3 — you don't configure those again, the SDR config picks defaults from your ICP and creates its own sequence.
  • Mailbox for sends: the F3 sequence the SDR uses pulls the SDR creator's active Gmail/Outlook (matches F3 mailbox policy).
  • Guardrails are mandatory: maxEmailsPerDay clamps the worker so you can't accidentally send 1000 cold emails. Apollo daily cap also enforces this from above.
  • Per-run history: AiSdrRun row per cycle with phase counters + Haiku summary + any error message. Surfaces under the SDR dashboard so you can tell exactly what happened on a given day.
  • requireReviewBeforeSend toggle: when ON, the SDR enrolls contacts but flags every email for human review before send. Useful for the first week while you build trust in its picks.
Example: A solo founder activates the SDR Monday. Config: ICP (already built), 15 prospects/day, value prop = "We help DevOps teams cut deploy times by 60%", booking page = /book/founder-call, max 30 emails/day. Tuesday 8am: SDR runs — finds 14 net-new leads from Apollo matching ICP, enriches with phones, scores them (4 above 80, 7 above 60), enrolls the top 10 in an auto-generated 4-step sequence. Sends 6 emails Tuesday (within daily cap), 8 Wednesday. Friday digest: 47 emails sent, 6 replies (3 booked discovery calls), 41 still in cadence. Zero hours of human SDR work.

Troubleshooting

"No active mailbox for the SDR creator" on toggle Active
The user who created the SDR config doesn't have an active Gmail or Outlook OAuth connection.
Fix: Connect a mailbox under Settings > Communications > Connected Accounts. Then go back to the SDR config and toggle Active.
Apollo credits exhausted by the SDR
Daily prospect cap × 30 days exceeds your monthly Apollo allowance.
Fix: Lower dailyProspectLimit so cap × 30 ≤ your monthly allowance. E.g. Pro tier = 75/mo Apollo searches → cap at ~2 prospects/day if you want it to run every day, or run it 3 days/week instead.
Daily digest email isn't arriving
The digest is sent to the SDR creator's primary email — check spam. Or the worker errored during the digest phase (see AiSdrRun.errorMessage for that day).
Fix: Whitelist the sender. The digest body has a Haiku-generated summary so it's short — don't expect it in spam after the first one.

Plans

Core (Lead Gen is included on every plan), but the SDR runs in two modes. Starter — simulate mode only: phases 1–2 (prospect + enrich) run so the user can see what the SDR would do, but no outreach is sent. Pro — full mode at 10 prospects/day. Max — full mode at 50/day. Custom — full mode (custom cadence). Marketing suite always promotes the SDR to full mode at 50/day regardless of the base plan. The mode + daily ceiling are sourced from getLeadGenLimits() and override the user-configured dailyProspectLimit. Apollo + AI tokens both drawn from your monthly allocations.
