Social Bio Link — Single Shareable Link for Instagram / TikTok / X Bios
A branded link-in-bio page at /l/{your-slug} that you put in your Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn (or anywhere) bio. Shows your logo + brand color + a list of clickable buttons (website, booking pages, capture forms, email, phone). Mobile-optimized — most traffic to bio links comes from social and is mobile.
Steps
- Tools → Lead Generation → Website (/dashboard/leadgen/visitors). The page is titled Website Capture; under “Install on your website” scroll to the Social Bio Link card — it is the last of the seven — and click it to expand. There is no separate page for it: everything is set up in the card.
- Set the slug (must be unique across all orgs, lowercase letters/numbers/hyphens, 2–40 chars). Your public URL becomes app.crmown.io/l/{slug}.
- Add up to 12 links: pick a type (Site/Book/Form/Email/Phone/Social/Custom — each has an icon), enter a label and URL.
- Set title (defaults to your org name) + optional subtitle (e.g. "Houston · Sugar Land · Katy"). Pick theme: auto (follows visitor OS), dark, or light.
- Toggle "Enable public page" ON and Save. Test the URL — it should render mobile-first with your logo/brand color.
- Paste the URL into your Instagram/TikTok/X profile bio. That's it.
Good to know
- Core feature — no suite required. Works on every plan.
- Branding pulls from Settings > Customize > Brand Colors: brandLogo (URL), brandColor (accent), brandSecondary. If brandLogo is empty, we render the first letter of your org name in a colored tile.
- Slug uniqueness is enforced cross-org via Postgres unique index. If "acme" is taken globally, you'll get "Slug is already taken" — pick another (e.g. "acme-realty").
- Theme=auto follows the visitor's OS preference via prefers-color-scheme. Override with light or dark if your brand only looks right one way.
- No analytics yet — clicksThisMonth on the Install Hub Bio Link card returns 0 in v1. Per-link click tracking is a Phase 5 follow-up.
- The page is intentionally simple (no nav, no footer): one logo + one CTA list. Conversion-optimized for mobile bio link traffic.
- You can disable the page later by toggling "Enable public page" OFF — slug stays reserved (so re-enabling restores the same URL), but visitors get a 404.
Example: A solo realtor on Starter wants one URL for their Instagram bio that links to: their site, their direct calendar booking page, a "What's my home worth?" lead-capture form, their email, their cell. Bio link configured in 5 minutes: slug "homeswithsarah", title "Sarah · Sugar Land Realtor", 5 link buttons, light theme to match her IG aesthetic. Posts a story announcing it. 30 days later the Install Hub shows 14 leads from Instagram (source=social_bio on captures via the form link), 9 booked tours from the booking link.
Troubleshooting
"Slug is already taken"
Another CRMown org has the same slug. Slug uniqueness is global, not per-org.
Fix: Pick a different slug — try variations like {brand}-team, {brand}-realty, or your city.
Public page returns 404 even though config is saved
Either "Enable public page" is OFF, or the slug was changed since the link was shared.
Fix: Re-enable the page in the bio link config, or update the slug back to the one you shared.
Logo doesn't appear / shows the letter tile fallback
org.brandLogo is empty under Settings > Account > Organization.
Fix: Upload a logo (PNG/SVG, square works best). The bio link picks it up instantly.
Theme looks wrong (dark page on a white-brand business)
theme=auto picked dark because the visitor's OS is in dark mode.
Fix: Set theme=light explicitly to override OS preference for everyone.
Plans
Core — no suite required. One bio link per org.
