Website Capture Hub — Install + Verify on Your Site

The Website Capture hub at /dashboard/leadgen/visitors (sidebar: Lead Generation > Website) is the single page that answers "How do I get leads from my website and social media into CRMown?". It surfaces all 8 capture mechanisms with install snippets, status dots ("we have ever received a payload for this"), and "Manage →" deep-links to each feature's native config page. No suite required to view the hub itself — gating is per-card. Sits ABOVE the visitor feed (Visitor ID — F4), so the page now has both: capture install + visitor feed.

Open in CRMown →

Steps

  1. Go to /dashboard/leadgen/visitors (sidebar: Lead Generation > Website).
  2. The Install Hub at the top shows 8 cards. Each card has a status dot: green ✓ Installed (we received at least one payload), gray "Not configured", amber "Upgrade · {suite}" (suite-gated), or "Always available" (no install required).
  3. Click any card to expand it inline. Cards show key metric (count + last-event time), the install snippet to copy if relevant, and a "Manage →" link to the dedicated config page.
  4. The 8 cards: 1) Tracking Pixel — reverse-IP visitor identification (F4, Core, monthly visitor-lookup cap). 2) Forms — form builder (Core; advanced features need Web Studio). 3) AI Chat Widget — qualification chatbot (F5, requires Web Studio suite, configured under Tools → Chat Lead Widget, monthly conversation cap). 4) Lead Magnets — gated downloads (F6, Core, monthly generation cap). 5) Booking Pages — per-user public scheduling links. 6) Social Channels — DMs/comments/mentions on FB/IG/WA/X/LI/YT. 7) Social Bio Link — single shareable link for Instagram/TikTok/X bios. 8) External Forms & API — universal embed form + form-builder POST endpoint + Zapier guide + API keys.
  5. The visitor feed (Visitor ID) sits below the Install Hub — it's still the same F4 feed, just no longer the only thing on the page.

Good to know

  • Status detection is cheap by design: "have we ever received a payload for this?" — we don't ping your site to verify the snippet is alive. This means a card may show ✓ Installed even after you remove the script, until you stop receiving events.
  • Cards are status + deep-link only. Heavy config (form builder, chat widget, magnets) lives on its dedicated page. The hub is for "is it installed and working?", not for editing.
  • Suite-gated cards show a Lock badge + "Upgrade →" link straight to Settings > Billing. Forms basic CRUD is Core; advanced form features (multi-step, conditional logic, scoring, file uploads, payment fields) require Web Studio suite. Lead Magnets is Core but capped per month — the card surfaces the cap, not a suite lock.
  • The Universal Lead Capture Embed Form (inside the External card) is Core — works on any plan, no suite required. See "Universal Lead Capture Embed Form" article.
  • The hub renders 7 of 8 cards as "configurable on the page" — the External / API card is always-available documentation. The 7 toggleable mechanisms count toward the "X of 7 capture methods active" header text.
  • Setup vs operate split: the hub is for installing/connecting capture mechanisms. Replying to messages, routing, and inbox automation live in Conversations. Cards that produce messages (AI Chat Widget, Social Channels) include a "View messages →" link that deep-links straight to that channel's filter in Conversations (?channel=webchat, ?channel=instagram, etc.).
  • Each connected social platform pill in the Social Channels card is itself a clickable link to that platform's filtered inbox view — saves a click vs. opening Conversations and re-filtering.
Example: A new Starter org wants leads flowing. Owner opens /dashboard/leadgen/visitors and sees the Install Hub: 0 of 7 active. They click Tracking Pixel, copy the script, paste it into Webflow's site head, refresh, the card flips to ✓ Installed within minutes. Then External / API: copy the universal embed snippet, paste into the contact page. Forms card: create a basic email-only form, copy the embed. Bio Link card: configure slug "acme" + add 3 links, enable. They're still on Starter, no suite upgrades needed — 4 capture mechanisms active in 15 minutes.

Troubleshooting

Card shows "Not configured" but I installed the snippet
Either the snippet hasn't fired yet (no traffic), an ad blocker is stripping it, or the snippet is on a wrong site.
Fix: Open your site in an incognito window with no extensions, navigate around. The card should flip to ✓ Installed within seconds. If still not, check the Network tab for the call to the API endpoint.
Lead Magnets says "limit reached" mid-month
You've used your plan's monthly magnet quota (Starter 1, Pro 5, Max unlimited). Counter resets on the 1st.
Fix: Either wait for the reset, upgrade your plan to lift the cap, or activate the Marketing suite to remove every Lead Gen cap. The usage meter at the top of /dashboard/leadgen shows the reset date.
Forms card says "0 forms" but I see forms on /dashboard/forms
Form-builder forms are different from the form list shown here — the count includes only published forms scoped to the current org.
Fix: Verify the forms are isActive=true and belong to this org (not a different sub-org if you're a brokerage).

Plans

Hub itself is Core (no gate). Per-card gating: advanced Form features and the AI Chat Widget (qualification chatbot, configured under Tools → Chat Lead Widget) both need the Web Studio suite. Lead Magnets and Visitor ID are Core but capped per month — see each feature's article for plan-by-plan caps. The Marketing suite removes every Lead Gen cap; the Web Studio suite is what unlocks the Chat Lead Widget.
