Social Listening: Find Buyer-Intent Reddit Threads & Draft Founder Replies

Watch subreddits for people asking for recommendations in your category. CRMown ranks threads by buying intent and drafts a reply in your voice — with your disclosure line always included. You post it yourself from your own Reddit account; CRMown never auto-posts.

Steps

  1. Create a watchlist: Marketing → Social Listening → "+ Watchlist". Enter your product name and URL, the subreddits to watch (comma-separated, no "r/" needed), and trigger phrases people use when shopping (e.g. "AI tutor", "SAT prep app").
  2. Set your disclosure line: every draft ends with it (e.g. "Full disclosure — I built <product>"). You can edit the wording but not remove it — undisclosed promotion gets Reddit accounts banned.
  3. Optional voice notes: describe how you write so drafts sound like you.
  4. Get threads: CRMown polls hourly (or click "Poll now"). Each matching thread is AI-ranked; only buying-intent and on-topic discussion surface — noise is filtered out.
  5. Use a draft: high-intent threads come with a ready reply that leads with genuinely useful advice and mentions your product once, via a tracked link. Click "Copy draft", open the thread, paste, edit as you like, and post FROM YOUR OWN Reddit account.
  6. Track it: mark threads "Engaged" or "Skip". The tracked link carries a per-thread utm_content token, so signups from that thread show up in your analytics with reddit / community attribution.
  7. Daily digest: each morning the org owner gets an email listing new buyer-intent threads found in the last 24 hours.

Good to know

  • CRMown never posts to Reddit for you and never manages multiple accounts — that is deliberate. Automated or undisclosed promotion violates Reddit rules and gets accounts and domains banned.
  • Start with 3-5 subreddits and specific phrases; broad phrases ("app", "software") produce noise that the intent filter will discard anyway.
