# Ask the AI Bar About Custom Fields & Fix a Mis-Mapped Import

The AI Bar can see your custom fields — the columns auto-created from CSV imports — so it can count them and move a mis-mapped field into the right standard columns.

## Steps
1. Open the AI Bar (Ctrl/Cmd+K).
2. Ask "how many contacts have <field name>" to get an exact count for any custom field.
3. To fix a column that imported into the wrong place, say e.g. "move the Area Code Origin field into City and State" — the AI parses "City, State" values into the City and State columns.

## Tips
- Large remaps (hundreds of contacts) are queued in Pending Approval for an owner to confirm before they run.
- This works for any custom field → standard column (city, state, company, job title, and more). The original custom field is removed once the values are moved.

## Troubleshooting
- **The AI said it could not give a field-level breakdown of a custom field** — Older behavior — the AI could not see custom fields. Fix: Fixed — the AI now reads custom fields and answers "how many contacts have <field>" exactly, and can remap them.
