# Google Workspace Marketplace — Install CRMown from Google

_Integrations_

CRMown is listed on the Google Workspace Marketplace as "CRMown — AI CRM", reviewed and approved by Google. Installing from the Marketplace adds CRMown to your Google apps launcher, and lets a Google Workspace admin approve CRMown for the whole company so each person can connect Gmail, Calendar, Tasks, Contacts and Drive in one click.

## Steps
1. Open the listing: https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/crmown/865736837655 and click Install.
2. Review the permissions Google shows and continue. CRMown asks only for: read and send Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Tasks, read-only Contacts, Drive files that CRMown creates or you open with it, and your name, photo and email address.
3. Open CRMown from the Google apps launcher (the grid icon in Gmail or Drive) and sign in — or start a trial if you are new.
4. In CRMown go to Settings > Communications > Connected Accounts, click Connect Google Workspace, and choose what to sync (Email, Calendar, Tasks, Contacts, Drive).
5. Google Workspace admins — to roll CRMown out to everyone: in the Google Admin console go to Apps > Google Workspace Marketplace apps, add "CRMown — AI CRM", and install it for the whole organisation or selected teams. Your users can then connect Google in CRMown without a separate permission prompt.

## Tips
- Installing from the Marketplace does not move any data by itself — syncing starts when each person connects Google in Connected Accounts and chooses what to sync. Each Google service has its own on/off switch.
- Drive access is limited to files CRMown creates (for example in its CRMown folder when you choose Google Drive for file storage) or files you open with it. CRMown cannot browse the rest of your Drive.
- Contacts access is read-only: CRMown imports your Google Contacts, it never edits or deletes them.
- You stay in control: disconnect Google in Settings > Communications > Connected Accounts at any time, or remove CRMown's access from your Google Account (myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps).
- If a Google Workspace admin uninstalls CRMown from the organisation, Google connections in CRMown stop working; reconnect in Connected Accounts once it is reinstalled.
- Using Microsoft 365 instead? The same features work through Connected Accounts — see Workspace Sync.

## Example
An IT admin at a 25-person agency installs "CRMown — AI CRM" from the Google Workspace Marketplace for the Sales team only. Each rep opens CRMown from the Google apps launcher, clicks Connect Google Workspace once, and their Gmail threads, meetings and tasks appear in CRMown the same afternoon — without anyone filing a request to approve a third-party app.

## Troubleshooting
- **The Install button is greyed out, or Google says the app is blocked by your administrator** — Your Google Workspace admin restricts which Marketplace apps people can install. Fix: Ask your admin to allow "CRMown — AI CRM" (or install it for your team) in the Google Admin console under Apps > Google Workspace Marketplace apps.
- **I installed CRMown from the Marketplace but nothing is syncing** — The Marketplace install only approves the app; sync starts when you connect your account in CRMown. Fix: In CRMown open Settings > Communications > Connected Accounts, click Connect Google Workspace, and turn on the services you want.
- **Google connection suddenly stopped working** — CRMown's access was removed — by you in your Google Account, by an admin uninstalling the app, or after a Google password change. Fix: Reconnect in Settings > Communications > Connected Accounts. If your company uninstalled CRMown, ask the admin to reinstall it first.
