Getting Started with the Mobile App

CRMown ships a native iOS + Android app (built with Expo). Same JWT login as the web — sign in once on mobile and you have access to your contacts, pipeline, calendar, inbox, comm pro chat, brokerage, and real-estate tools on the go.

Steps

  1. Install the "CRMown" app from the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android). During the rollout window, internal testers get a TestFlight (iOS) or EAS internal-distribution (Android) link from the team.
  2. Sign in with the same email + password you use on the web. Forgot-password works the same.
  3. Bottom tab bar is fixed: Home / Inbox / Contacts / Pipeline / More. Less-frequent surfaces (Calendar, Comm Pro, Tracker, Brokerage, Real Estate, Client Hub, NFC, Meet Mode, Settings) live under the More tab.
  4. Grant permissions when prompted — Notifications (for push alerts), Camera (Meet Mode + receipts), Microphone (voice memos), Location (GPS trip tracker), NFC (tap-to-share). Each permission is requested only when you first use the feature, not all at signup.
  5. Pull-to-refresh on any list view forces a fresh API fetch. Tab presses give light haptic feedback on iOS.

Good to know

  • There is no separate "mobile account" — your org membership, role, and active suites are identical across web and mobile. If a feature isn't in your plan on web, it won't be on mobile either.
  • The app respects your OS dark/light mode by default; override under More > Settings > Appearance.
  • Build channels: production points at https://app.crmown.io/api, preview/dev builds point at https://staging.crmown.io/api. The build name in TestFlight tells you which environment you're hitting.
Example: A real-estate agent on her morning commute opens CRMown on her iPhone, taps a contact card from the Home tab, and sends a follow-up SMS via the Inbox tab — all before getting out of the car. Same data she'd see at her desk that afternoon, no separate sync step needed.

Troubleshooting

Login fails with "Invalid credentials" on mobile but works on web
Almost always a typo (the mobile keyboard auto-capitalizes the first letter of the email field on some Android keyboards). Less commonly: the build is pointed at staging and you're trying to log in with your prod account, or vice versa.
Fix: Tap the eye icon to verify the password isn't mis-typed. Confirm the build environment from the launch screen ("CRMown" = prod, "CRMown (staging)" = staging). If you have a staging-only account, use the staging build.
Some features visible on web aren't in the mobile app
A handful of admin-heavy or content-creation surfaces are intentionally web-only (Web Studio site builder, workflow editor canvas, AI Actions audit log, finance proposals editor, full analytics with custom report builder, super-admin panel). Mobile focuses on field-work surfaces.
Fix: Working as designed. Open those features on the desktop app at app.crmown.io. We're prioritizing mobile parity for surfaces that actually benefit from being on a phone.

Plans

No mobile-specific gating — your web plan applies. Suites that require activation (Comm Pro, Operations, etc.) need to be active on the org for the corresponding mobile sections to work.
