Pipeline Pulse — Continuous Health Monitoring

Pulse continuously scores every deal's health (0–100) using stage-stuck time, activity gaps, missing fields, and SLA breaches. The badge in the pipeline header shows the overall pipeline health; per-deal dots flag at-risk and overdue items.

Steps

  1. Open Pipeline. The Pulse badge at the top of the page shows the rolled-up health score plus at-risk + overdue counts.
  2. Click a deal's health dot (red/amber/green next to the card) to see the specific risk factors (e.g. "no activity 14 days", "missing close date", "stuck in Qualified 3× the median").
  3. Configure per-stage SLA + target duration in Pipeline > AI Settings so Pulse knows what "stuck" means for your team.

Good to know

  • Pulse runs in the background — scores refresh on every stage change, message, or daily sweep.
  • Disable Pulse per pipeline from Pipeline > AI Settings if you want a quieter view.
  • History is kept in PipelineHealthSnapshot — you can see weekly health trends over time.
  • Snapshot retention: every snapshot is kept for the first 14 days, then deduplicated to one-per-day-per-pipeline from 14 to 90 days, then dropped entirely past 90 days. This is intentional — raw snapshot volume is high and the long tail is rarely actioned.
Example: A sales manager opens the New Business pipeline on Monday — Pulse shows the rolled-up score dropped from 78 to 64 over the weekend, with 3 deals flagged red. She clicks the first red dot: "no activity 18 days, decision-maker stopped replying, expected close in 4 days." She reassigns it to a senior closer with a Slack-style note, fixes the next two herself, and the pipeline score is back to 76 by Wednesday.

Troubleshooting

Health trend chart has gaps or a flat line for anything older than ~2 weeks
Snapshot retention policy: 14 days of every snapshot, then one-per-day up to 90 days, then hard-deleted. So older trend points are naturally sparser and dates past 90 days show no data at all.
Fix: Working as designed. For a finer-grained audit, export the current snapshot via Analytics before retention rolls forward.
A deal in a "Closed Won" or "Archived" stage isn't counted in Pulse's active-item stats
Pulse treats stages named (case-insensitive) closed won, closed lost, resolved, cancelled, archived, published, completed, or done as terminal — they're excluded from active counts and from the Coach's reasoning context.
Fix: Working as designed. If you expected the deal in scope, rename the stage to something that isn't in that reserved set.
