Activating the Real Estate Vertical

CRMown's Real Estate suite swaps the standard sidebar for an RE-tailored navigation (Properties, Buyers, Sellers/Listings, Transactions, etc.). Activate it during onboarding or self-serve in Settings.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > Billing and expand the Industry Verticals section (the last section on that tab) — verticals are a paid add-on, which is why they sit under Billing, not Account.
  2. Pick "Real Estate" and (optional) enter your NAR member ID.
  3. On save, the sidebar switches to the RE-specific menu and Real Estate routes (/dashboard/re/*) become available.
  4. To go further, activate "Become a Brokerage" in the same section to unlock the Brokerage Portal + agent slot billing.

Good to know

  • Verticals are reversible — switching back hides RE menu items but doesn't delete data.
  • NAR ID is used for portability + compliance reporting; safe to skip if you're not yet licensed.
Example: A SaaS founder pivots into real estate after getting his license. He goes to Settings > Billing > Industry Verticals, picks "Real Estate", and the sidebar instantly transforms — Buyers/Sellers/Listings/Transactions appear, the standard "Pipeline" item disappears in favor of the RE-specific equivalents. His existing contacts stay put; he just gets the right tools.

Plans
