Re-Running the Setup Assistant
The Setup Assistant doubles as a "rebalance my setup" tool for existing customers. Recommendations consider what you already have — the engine reads your current SuiteActivation state and avoids duplicating active suites; it pulls past sessions from the listing so you can resume an in-flight review.
Steps
- Settings > Setup Assistant > Start setup.
- Source defaults to "rerun" so the recommendation engine knows it's an existing org.
- Answer the interview as if for the first time — mention what's changed (team grew, new vertical, new product line).
- Review the recommendations — items that pair with already-active suites are surfaced; suite activations for things you already have are skipped automatically.
- Apply or dismiss as needed. Past abandoned sessions remain in the list for audit.
Good to know
- Re-running won't overwrite existing pipelines or workflows. It always creates new ones — name conflicts get a numeric suffix (e.g. "Buyer Pipeline (2)") so you can compare and merge manually.
- The "rerun" source flag is for analytics; SixEleven (CRMown's onboarding services team) uses it to track which orgs benefited from an assisted reconfiguration.
Example: Maya's agency added a healthcare practice as a client — she now needs HIPAA-friendly workflows, a healthcare intake pipeline, and a dedicated CSM. She re-runs the Setup Assistant, mentions the new vertical, and applies a curated pack: healthcare pipeline, GDPR consent fields, NPS survey workflow, and a CSM role template. Original agency configs are untouched.
