Forms — Standalone Form Builder
The Forms module is a dedicated form builder for embeddable forms outside of Web Studio (e.g. attached to your existing site, or hosted directly at /f/{slug}). Supports conditional fields, multi-step flows, payment fields, and AI-generated forms from a prompt or URL.
Steps
- Go to Forms (sidebar > Forms).
- Click "+ New Form" — design from scratch, or use "AI Import" to paste a URL/HTML/prompt and generate a form automatically.
- Add fields, set conditional visibility, and map each field to a CRM contact field.
- Embed via iframe / JS snippet / share the hosted URL.
- Submissions create or update contacts and can fire a workflow trigger.
Good to know
- Use "Update form via AI" inside the editor for natural-language tweaks ("make the email field required", "add a phone-number field after name").
- Stripe payment fields can be added if Stripe is connected (Settings > Integrations > Stripe).
Example: A wedding planner pastes the URL of a competitor's intake form into AI Import; CRMown generates a matching form with conditional logic ("if budget < $20K, skip the venue-tier question") and a Stripe deposit field for the $500 booking fee. Embedded on her site by lunch.
Troubleshooting
Form submissions not creating contacts
Form isn't connected to the CRM pipeline, or the email field mapping is wrong.
Fix: Edit the form > "After Submit" settings. Ensure "Create Contact" is enabled. Verify the email field is mapped — required for contact creation.
